Chapter 42

144,000 are a mere drop in the ocean compared to this great number. People may be surprised to learn that the numbers have still not been completed, because they do not realize how valuable each of the 144,000 is. The people included in the 144,000 are mostly martyrs. They were not killed by accident during the persecution of Christians, but were righteous persons who were willing to abandon their life to keep their faith.

The people who become the bride of the Lamb by their pain and death will receive tremendous authority in the spiritual world after the spiritual war. They will receive the authority to judge all people from the beginning of humanity and the authority to be kings and high priests (Rev. 20:4-6). It is not easy to be included in the number.

The value of a single righteous person is so huge that God would have forgiven the sins of all the people in Jerusalem if he had found one amongst them (Jer. 5:1). God knows that he will be able to destroy the power of Satan, which is like the sand on the seashore, with only 144,000 righteous people. Therefore, we can assume how strong the person who possesses the light of God would be.

The war in Canaan and the Battle of Armageddon

The twelve tribes of Israel went to war against the Canaanites. God planned the war before he chose Abraham and he had already spoken about the war to him (Gen. 15:13-16). In other words, God chose Abraham for the war in Canaan. He wanted to show his will to destroy Satan through the war in Canaan.

God said he wanted the war in Canaan, because the sins of the Amorites - who were one of the Canaan tribes - had reached its full measure (Gen. 15:16). In other words, the war in Canaan was a war against sin and Satan, who is the source of the sin. God will destroy Satan completely in the future. He commanded the complete destruction of the Canaanites as the shadow of the destruction of Satan. It does not mean that only Canaanites had sin at that time. God remembered the curse of Noah and decided to set them as the shadow of the power of Satan.

The distribution of the land and the authority of kings

The Israelites conquered Canaan and divided the land among the twelve tribes, which symbolize the authority that the 144,000 will receive after they destroy Satan in the spiritual
