fell down when they saw the angels so bright and white. Mary visited the grave in the early morning to pour perfume on the Lord. But there was no one in the grave. There was only the clothing in which Jesus had been wrapped.

Soldiers who saw the almighty acts of the angels reported them to the priests. The Priests asked them, “What happened to Jesus? What did you see?”, “We saw a bright light in the night and many miraculous things happened,” they replied. Do you know what the Priests said? They had to regret and repent their sins by saying, “Is that true? Jesus must be the Son of God. We were wrong.” However they gave money to the soldiers and said, “Take it. Just tell people the dead body of Jesus was stolen.”

When Jesus saw Mary Magdalene approaching to the grave, he felt he needed to prove his resurrection before he went up to heaven. “After I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee” (Matt. 26:32). Jesus already announced he would show himself at Galilee after his resurrection. But people could not believe his resurrection, so they went to his grave, not to Galilee.

not have had to show himself so many times. If they had been in Galilee then it would have proved his resurrection to the people. Jesus would just have said, “Now you see me.” Then he would have been able to go up to heaven immediately.

When an angel saw Mary Magdalene at the grave, he said, “He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him” (Matt. 28:7). But the disciples did not believe it, and they went to the grave to check it.

After they saw that the body of Jesus had disappeared, they got together and discussed the resurrection of Jesus. A disciple among them said, “I cannot believe it if I do not see him myself.” Then Jesus appeared in front of them. “Peace be with you. Do you have anything to eat?” Then he ate fish to show his resurrection to them. When they said they wanted to touch him, he let them touch him. Jesus had to prove his resurrection by showing his body even though he did not have a physical body, because they would not believe his resurrection without seeing his physical body.
