Chapter 15

However, when people saw his behavior, nobody was able to see that he had his destiny to carry all the sin of the world, to be tortured by the sinners, and to do what he had to do no matter whether people understood it or not. Therefore, his beloved disciples might have seen his feeling from the look on his face when he spoke about his death, because he knew that he had to carry a load which no one beside him could bear.

Jesus did not preach many people when he first began his work. First, he tried to collect his disciples one by one and then he taught them the providence of heaven step by step.

As time went on, the name of Jesus slowly became famous. Indeed he knew that his death would come closer when his reputation was growing. After he began his preaching from the region of Galilee, he came to Jerusalem to preach to the Pharisees, scribes, and priests.

He looked like a great man to other people, but he did not enjoy his fame. As the number of his followers grew and grew, his disciples were satisfied, but in contrast Jesus became more depressed. When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on

a donkey, his beloved disciples triumphantly prepared his way by putting their clothes on the road in front of the donkey. Alerted to Jesus’ arrival, many people greeted him waving palm tree branches.

Jesus knew well that his crucifixion on the cross was the will of God to accomplish the words in the Bible, even though he did not want it. He smiled in front of many people, but he was fighting in his mind against his fate of death many times every day.

He was concerned about how to explain his death to the people who had followed him for three years without losing their faith in him. There was no way to make them understand his death. He called upon his particularly beloved Peter, James and John and climbed a mountain with them. He prayed to God on the mountain (Luke 9:28).

“Now, the time comes to glorify you.” He prayed to God for the strength to face his death. After his prayer, he needed to show his beloved disciples that he was the Son of God. So he showed them in their vision who he was. It was the scene of Jesus changing his shape as described in the Bible (Luke 9:29). When he changed, Elijah and Moses were
